A Kenmore Elite double oven in El Segundo was not heating properly because its bake igniters had grown too weak to light the burners. Two new igniters restored normal heating in both ovens.

What we found

Our diagnostics confirmed ignition failure in both oven sections. The bake igniters had become weak and could no longer ignite the gas burner consistently.
Weak igniters are a common issue in gas ovens. They can cause slow preheating, uneven temperatures, intermittent heating or complete ignition failure.
How we fixed it
We replaced the two worn bake igniters with new OEM components.
Once they were installed, both ovens ignited correctly and returned to normal heating performance.
