We put the washer into service mode and ran its water-fill test for both cold and hot water. During the hot-water portion of the test, there was no audible response and no water entered the washer.

While the test was running, we measured 117 volts across the two terminals of the hot-water inlet valve. The valve was receiving voltage but still did not open, which pointed to a failed water inlet valve.

With the new assembly installed, water entered the washer normally and the original no-fill problem was resolved.
