Commercial Walk-In Freezer Running Warm in Manhattan Beach

A commercial walk-in freezer in Manhattan Beach was running warmer than it should. Dust had built up on its condenser coil, and cleaning the coil brought the freezer back to its normal operating temperature.
What was going wrong
At a business in Manhattan Beach, the customer reported that the temperature inside this commercial walk-in freezer was too high.
What we found
We inspected the condensing unit and found dust built up on the condenser coil.
The condenser coil releases the heat the refrigeration system removes from the freezer. When dust restricts airflow through the coil, the system rejects heat less efficiently and has to work harder to maintain temperature.
How we fixed it

We cleaned the condenser coil with a foaming coil cleaner to clear the dust buildup and restore airflow through the coil.
After cleaning, we checked the system's operation. The freezer returned to its normal operating temperature.
